Privacy Policy

This page describes how we handle information when you use ember.io (this marketing site). Ember is early stage, and our practices will evolve as the product grows. We keep this notice accurate at a high level and update it when something material changes.

What information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

  • Email address when you join the waitlist, use contact or signup forms, or otherwise send us email voluntarily.
  • Message content when you write to us through the contact flow or reply to us by email.
  • Technical data typical of any website, such as basic server or security logs, IP address, general device or browser type, and timestamps. We use this to run the service and understand abuse or outages.

How we collect it

You provide email and message content directly when you submit a form or email us. Technical data is collected automatically when you load pages or when our hosting and infrastructure record requests as part of normal operation.

How we use it

We use this information to:

  • respond to waitlist signups and messages you send;
  • operate, secure, and improve the website;
  • send transactional email related to your request (for example, confirming a signup or that we received a note), unless you are only browsing and have not contacted us;
  • meet legal or safety obligations when required.

We do not sell your personal information.

Analytics and cookies

We may use privacy-oriented analytics to understand aggregate traffic (for example, which pages are viewed and in rough terms where visitors come from). We aim to avoid invasive tracking. Your browser may still store cookies or local data according to your settings. You can control cookies through your browser.

Details may change as we adjust tooling. The headline is: we want useful aggregate insight, not surveillance of individuals.

Who we share information with

We work with vendors who help us host the site, deliver email, and run infrastructure. They process information only to provide those services to us, not for their own marketing. We do not list every subprocessor here, but if you need specifics for procurement or security review, email us and we will answer in plain terms for our current stack.

How long we keep information

We keep contact and waitlist information long enough to respond, operate early access, and maintain a reasonable record of conversations. Log retention follows what our hosting and email providers allow and what we need for security. Exact periods will tighten as we formalize operations. If you want something deleted, ask and we will handle it in line with what we can technically do at the time.

Security

We use sensible defaults for a small team: access controls, HTTPS, and reputable providers. No web service is perfectly secure. We will tell customers something clearer when we ship a product with formal commitments.

Contact us about privacy

For privacy questions, data requests, or DPA-related questions for this site, email support@ember-io.com. We will respond in good faith. Response times may vary while we are small.
